Cookie Policy
Introduction
Cookies on websites are small files that contain data for a network to identify a computer. When you visit a website it deposits a cookie into your browser which your browser stores in a cookie file. This means that the next time you visit the website you will be recognised by it.
Websites use cookies for various reasons, often to make your visit more personalised and to track the pages you interacted with. Some cookies track your browsing behaviour more widely and this information is used in order to target you with relevant advertising.
Cookies collect personal data and use that data to track the behaviour of an individual. With the exception of strictly necessary cookies, cookies should not be used without the informed consent of the individual. So you may make an informed decision we detail below the types of cookies we use on our websites, and why.
Where we refer to "website below", we mean the website through which you have accessed this notice. That site will be owned, controlled and managed by Simply Conveyancing Panel Management Limited on behalf of the Simply Conveyancing Group. Further information about the Group can be found in our Privacy Notice.
The types of cookie that we may use
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the operation of our websites. They include cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website such as eConvey and the Agents Portal. These cookies expire after 1 year and then may be redeployed.
We also use analytical/performance cookies deployed by Google Analytics to generate statistical data on how you use our website within a given time. These cookies include _ga (which expires after 2 years), _gid (which expires after 1 day) and _gat (which expires after 1 year). All information collected by these cookies is aggregated meaning we are not able to identify you as an individual using the data.
Marketing cookies enable us to track visitors across websites so that we may display advertisements that are relevant to you. These cookies are deployed by Twitter and include i/jot (which expires at the end of your session) (a pairing service provided by third party advertisement hubs) and RichHistory (which expires at the end of your session) which collects your personal data to target you with relevant content and websites across multiple websites.
Managing cookies
We use a cookie "consent management platform" (which deploys its own cookie – CookieConsent – which stores your consent state for 1 year) which means that you should see a message on our website before we place cookies on your device or browser. The message will describe the types of cookies we use at any given time and what information they might collect and why.
We will not place cookies other than "strictly necessary" cookies on your device or browser when using our website unless you have told us that you are happy to do so using the consent management platform. You can update your preferences at any time.
You can also block cookies using your browser settings. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including strictly necessary cookies) you may not be able to access or use all or parts of our Site.
